LAUSD forces minority children to stay in failed schools. That is racism
LAUSD has thousands of incompetent teachers. But union rules forces the District to keep them. That is racism.
Now we have this: “The probe will focus on services to students learning English, who make up a third of the enrollment in the nations second-largest school system.
Federal analysts will review how English learners are identified and when they are judged fluent enough to handle regular course work. Theyll examine whether English learners have qualified, appropriately trained teachers. And theyll look at how teachers make math and science understandable for students with limited-English skills and how a school provides extra help for those struggling the most. Reviewers also will see if the district communicates effectively with parents in a language they understand."
The LA Times is racist for that paragraph. This is NOT about "English Learners”. This is about educating illegal aliens.
The Times, by not telling the truth is harming the students that need help.
Shame on LAUSD and the LA Times. Racism has many faces--these are two of them.
