While Californians are unwilling to do what is right and have wholesale changes in Sacramento, they are not stupid.
"Californians overwhelmingly prefer spending cuts rather than tax increases to balance the state budget. So says the statewide Field Poll released Tuesday.
Anyone surprised that 50 percent of those polled want the Legislature to reduce spending, compared with 13 percent who prefer tax increases, hasnt been paying attention. Unfortunately, there still are too many not paying attention, as evidenced by clever schemes pending in Sacramento to increase taxes without calling them taxes, and plots to move money from one accounting pot to another, where it more easily can be spent on pet projects."
Now, or later, we will see a massive voter revolt--Democrats and Republicans who help them will be swept from office. The people are angry.
