Who would miss a measly one million dollars? Not the Feds--they are giving away over $800 billion--they would never notice.
Thanks to a program created by our Governor, we found it--and no one seems upset by this--no firings, no suspensions, nothing.
"California Inspector General Laura Chick also assailed the Tulare County Workforce Investment Board for a host of bookkeeping errors related to the $6.8 million it received for summer youth, adult and worker training programs.
Our review found that the accounting practices of the WIB and their major subcontractor left a lot to be desired, Chick said in a letter to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and state lawmakers.
The agency spent $1 million for rent, equipment, utility bills and overhead, instead of on a program for at-risk youth, according to the letter."
