I have been active in the GOP since 1960. I attended my first convention in July,1966, in Sacramento. In the late 1970's I was elected to the Board of the California Republican Party.
The California Republican Party means a lot to me.
I was surprised to learn that the California Republican Party has not yet issued an OFFICIAL invitation to the candidates for United States Senate, Governor or Attorney General to debate before the CRP at its March, 2010 convention. Personally, anybody wanting to represent the GOP on the Republican Line in November should want to debate before the grassroots leaders of the Republican Party. After all, if you can't debate your Republican opponent before a friendly crowd, how can you debate a Democrat before a media created unfriendly crowd?
Jon Fleischman, is the publisher of the Flash Report and a CRP Regional Vice President. He is doing an informal survey of the CRP members, prior to the Tuesday Board meeting, to determine if the members agree that candidates for Senate, Governor and Attorney General should debate at the CRP March convention.

Let me conclude by first reemphasizing that my interest is in really gauging your opinion on this matter, and to best represent you as a party official. (This goes directly to Jon)"
I urge you to vote in this survey. While I am professionally working for one of the candidates running in the June primary, this is about the California Republican Party and its' providing a forum for the candidates to debates.
Note, this is only an invitation to debate--it will be up to the conscious of the candidates to accept or decline--what does your conscious say?
