  • Finally: Governor to Sue Union for Stolen Tax $$$

Most school districts pay the salary of the teachers’ union president--then pay for a substitute for the classroom the union leader is supposed to be in, teaching.

Now we know your tax dollars pay for the salary for the head of the California Correctional Peace Officers Association the prison guards union. This adds up to millions for the people of California to subsidize monopoly unions.

"It is unacceptable CCPOA refuses to pay the state what it is owed for time their members take off to run their union and perform union activities, Rachel Arrezola, a spokeswoman for the governor, told me. The state has tried to work with the union and has exhausted every avenue short of going to court to recoup money owed. CCPOAs delay in reimbursing the state is only costing California taxpayers precious dollars and if they continue to refuse, we are prepared to move forward with litigation.

Failure to return the money should be considered theft, and a lien should be put on the unions' bank account until the money is paid. Also, since the money is stolen, the union should be decertified, on the basis of corruption.

Actually the answer is simple--dock the pay, to zero, of the head of the guards union--he does not get paid till the money is returned.

The State is $36 billion in deficit--what is the Governor waiting for--we need the money, and the guards should be freed from paying bribes to crooks in order to work.

Angry yet? Now you know why the Guv's approval is only 27%.
