Want to know how much unions cost the economy? The San Fran Chronicle stopped using union printing presses and went non union--this saved the newspaper$25 million in one year.
Imagine how much is added to the cost of a road, building as school or a library due to unions wages--prevailing wages.
" He currently has a new job with the city and has to hire some temporary employees to essential clean for this job. He said, normally that type of job would normally pay $12-15 per hour, but since its a prevailing wage job, hes forced to pay that same individual $40/hr under prevailing wage laws.
I find it wildly interesting in this environment where municipalities are broke yet force a business owner to pay 2.5 to 3 times the normal wage and thereby increasing the overall bill from this contractor to the city for the work performed. Its a direct taxpayer subsidy of someone elses pay."
Government has plenty of money is it did not pay off the unions and special interests. This is why we have a deficit, plus the cost of crazy regulations like AB 32.
This is why we need a voter revolt! Get angry.
