Democrat Mike Machado is your typical Democrat. Throw a little money at him, like $300 per hour and he would sell out his mother. In this case he is selling out the people of Stockton, where he grew up.
He is taking money from the poor of California to make criminals comfortable--and at the same time harm the health care of honest people. Shame on him--but, it is to be expected, As a member of the legislature he voted for most taxes, worked hard to keep children the hostages of unions and made sure unions were protected from the laws.
Machado has told the people of Stockton, "suck it up, this is a done deal--and you have nothing to say about it." Sounds like a Democrat. Happily the people of Stockton have sued. What is really needed is for the Governor to cut off the Kelso/Machado slush fund.
Shame on us for allowing this. Oh, did I mention that Machado and Kelso refuse to allow anybody to audit the funds they have already taken or allowed anybody to look at the contracts they have given--who knows the payoffs, the special interests that have been bought, or the outright corruption? No one is allowed to see how the money is spent. Cut them off till they open the books.
