  • Cost of CA Government Lawsuits, Over Little, Soars Likes Hawks

Schools do without books and computers. The elderly can't get assistance to live. Roads are bad, taxes high, deficits growing higher.

Yet, California has money to sue over 9 sick hawks.

"The price tag: around a million dollars between the state and a San Diego-area litigant.

    The prize: nine elderly birds.

After five years, three lawsuits, and two appeals, thats where the Department of Fish & Game finds itself in its dispute with the so-called Hawk Lady, Lindy OLeary. What started out as a seemingly routine visit to shut down OLearys wild animal shelter near San Diego for various violations has led to a state legal bill of nearly $600,000."

What happens when you lead a California government agency, is it automatic you lose your common sense?

Who is in charge? Looks like no one to me.

This is another reason California has a current deficit, with everything included, of $36 billion--it is made up of small amounts wasted--eventually it becomes big bucks! Are nine sick hawks worth $1,000,000 in lawsuits?
