Last week the media was touting the lowered crime rate, even in a recession. Not one story noted that gun sales have soared.
Could it be that criminals are becoming afraid of honest citizens, with guns--not the cops.
This is a good thing--lower public safety costs, while lowering the crime rate. This is a win-win. Imagine how much lower it would be if "carry" laws were based on the Second Amendment, not the nutty Feinstein/Boxer cabal?
