As we all know, folks do not join a union voluntarily. In almost all cases union membership is mandated, or you lose your job. You pay a bribe (they call it "dues") to stay employed.
President Obama does not believe in the free market or private ownership of businesses.
How do you get everybody into a union, without an honest vote?
"A year ago in December, Ms. Berry and more than 40,000 other home-based day care providers statewide were suddenly informed they were members of Child Care Providers Together Michigan created a union in 2006 by the United Auto Workers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. The union had won a certification election conducted by mail under the auspices of the Michigan Employment Relations Commission. In that election only 6,000 day-care providers voted. The pro-labor vote turned out."
The theory is that if you accept government money, you are EMPLOYED by government and unions can steal your money. "The larger question, not part of this lawsuit, is whether this sort of unionization violates the U.S. Constitution. The freedom of association clause prevents compulsory unionism except, courts have determined, when it is necessary for "labor peace." But in this case, whom would the day-care providers riot against? The parents?"
On welfare? You are a union member. A student with a government loan (is this why Obama has outlawed private school loans?), you are a union member. Does your business use tax credits--you are a union member.
The next step? if you are regulated by government, you will be a union member--barbers, doctors, radio and TV folks, everybody will be a union member.
But, there is good news. Elected officials will also become union members. Then all we have to do is have that union go on strike, and we will all be saved.
Corruption has many faces--combine unions and government and Bernie Madoff becomes a bit player.
