California, already $36 billion in deficit is about to have Reid/Obama/Boxer/Feinstein add $3 billion a year to that disgrace. "California taxpayers could soon be on the hook for $3 billion in added health care costs -- that is what the governor is saying healthcare reform will cost the state. He is not too happy with what he calls another unfunded mandate from the feds."
While Arnold is upset with this, he still gives an "A" to Obama and wants the bill passed--he just doesn't want to pay for it. Arnold seems to look like a pretzel in this--loving the policy and the man pushing the policy, but when reality hits, hates it. He needs help.
"His aides also point out another aspect driving up the state's share of costs is Medi-Cal payments to doctors. Because California has one of the lowest reimbursement rates in the country, few doctors want to take on Medi-Cal patients." You should know that many plumbers charge $65 just to show up at your door. But the State only pays $35 to a doctor for looking at a patient! The State believes plumbers are more important than doctors.
