Two schools of thought. Either the Jerry Brown Attorney Generals office is REALLY incompetent or the State is really crooked.
Maybe there is a third alternative--the State is crooked and Brown is a bad Attorney General.
This settlement will cost the State an average of $35 million a year for 30 years. We have already lost $5 billion in lawsuits, money is due immediately. And, we are about to lose another $5 billion in lawsuits--that money due within 2-4 years.
California is in a Great Depression, with AB 32, union monopolies, hundreds of billions in unfunded liabilities, at least $171 billion in debt--plus the current $36 billion in deficits, no way out. We are at the point that Sacramento needs to declare insolvency. Do you see another way out?
