  • Should GOP Voters Oppose Tax Increase Candidates? Like "un"Abel Maldonado?

Abel Maldonado has made it clear--government is not big enough, the people not poor enough and joblessness not large enough.

He has proudly voted for massive tax increases. He has voted to kill jobs through minimum wage increases. And the crazy thing, is that someone calling themselves a "libertarian strategist", Patrick Dorinson, thinks he is great. Except for Tom Campbell, I have never found a libertarian supporting minimum wage and tax increases. Libertarian?

"It's the pettiness of not recognizing the bigger picture," said Patrick Dorinson, former communications director of the Republican party who now identifies himself as a libertarian political strategist, referring to GOP activists who have voiced opposition to Maldonado. "Conservatives have got to start understanding what it means to win elections. Why you'd go against a guy who's Latino when Latinos are going to be a majority in the state, I just don't know."

Instead of looking at his heritage, look at his record. How can the GOP convince people we are the Party of low taxes and freedom if our nominee for Lt. Governor is "un"Abel. Tax increases make people poorer and the GOP should not stand for creating poverty, it should stand for creating opportunity. What do you think?
