Of course, this was in 1975--when "scientists" declared the Ice Age a settled matter. It was DECLARED by the New York Times, the Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek and the rest of the fringe media.
"In 1974, the National Science Board announced: "During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an endleading into the next ice age."
Now these grant deprived scientists demand we spend trillions on their latest hoax, "global warming". This article does not even mention the smoking gun of the emails proving this is a hoax.
"The fall of Saigon in the '70s may have distracted the shrill pronouncements about the imminent ice age. Science's prediction of "A full-blown, 10,000 year ice age," came from its March 1, 1975 issue. The Christian Science Monitor observed that armadillos were retreating south from Nebraska to escape the "global cooling" in its Aug. 27, 1974 issue.
That armadillo caveat seems reminiscent of today's tales of polar bears drowning due to glaciers disappearing."
Now you know why Gore can not debate the issue, he knows that P.T. Barnum would never debate his marks.
Isn't it time to investigate this massive fraud? Isn't it time to repeal all the laws that have destroyed jobs and revenues, harmed families and killed economies? Who will file the first lawsuit against Al Gore for his Bernie Madoff style fraud? Should Al Gore go to jail and be a Madoff cellmate--or is that too good for him? What do you think?
