Nancy Pelosi just loves to raise the cost of anything and everything.
Inside her vicious attack on health care is a little nugget--she wants vending machines to post the "nutritional" values of the snacks inside to be seen before they are bought.
The cost? $56 million--for the first year. "The House health-care reform plan unveiled last week by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) would do more than regulate insurance companies it would even regulate vending machines.
The bill, which is posted online, would require that vending machine operators either create new machines that allow the customer to view nutrition facts or post nutritional information for each product near each article of food or the selection button.
The regulation could wind up costing vendors millions of dollars to make the changes, according to industry estimates."
This is another tax on the poor and middle class--an increase on the cost of the snacks with little value--we all now the stuff is not dietetic...get real.
A nickel here, a dime there, and this will add up to real money for those with very little. This is another example of Democrats claiming a "greater" good, while really making people more dependent on government.
The Democrat health care plan, between taxes, fees and gimmicks like this, could add up to one trillion is costs to our health care bills, directly and indirectly. Don't forget, Pelosi also wants to add a tax to pacemakers, wheel chairs and hearing aides--they really dislike us. Look at their actions, not their words. What do you think?
