The LA Times was supportive of churches when they were involved in civil disobedience during the civil rights movement and the Viet Nam war.
But, when a Christian Church announces they believe in the Bible, that they would not violate The Word, the Times thinks this is bad policy.
"This apocalyptic argument for lawbreaking is disingenuous, but it is also dangerous. Did the Roman Catholic bishops who signed the manifesto consider how their endorsement of lawbreaking in a higher cause might embolden the antiabortion terrorists they claim to condemn? Did they stop to think that, by reserving the right to resist laws they don't like, they forfeit the authority to intervene in the enactment of those laws, as they have done in the congressional debate over healthcare reform? They need to be reminded that this is a nation of laws, not of men -- even holy men."
The LA Times is very clear--believe in the bible and you are a sinner. This is way the Times is losing subscribers--it loves illegal aliens, higher taxes, supports regulations based on fraud, refuses to investigate radical corruption like ACORN. But, it can not find enough words to denounce Christians.
After this editorial, why would any honest person, Christian or not, buy the LA Times? Will you?
