  • Fraud Found in UC Tuition Increases--$$ NOT for Classroom

"Students of the University of California, already reeling from annual fee hikes, have been hit by a new, 32 percent increase that a leading critic says is partly intended to provide UC with funds to finance long-planned construction a contention the university denies." The UC folks are liars.

So far $1.35 BILLION of tuition million has gone to construction projects. "Legally, UC is not required to spend student tuition dollars to educate students and more often than not they dont, Meister says in a letter to students titled, They Pledged Your Tuition.

In fact, approximately $1.35 billion has gone towards building capital projects after a financial emergency was declared earlier this year." This does not include the one third of the increase tuition on all students going to scholarships for "poor" students.

How corrupt is the UC system? "Undergraduates give UC about $20,000 a year in tuition alone. The state then gives the school about $10,000 per students. Yet the instructional cost per student is only around five thousand dollars a year, leaving about $25,000 per student to be appropriated elsewhere."

The answer is $25,000 per student corrupt. Bet you did not know that. Was the tuition increase needed--obviously not.
