  • More Government Education Corruption Exposed

If the finance department had done an honest audit, the corruption of the Superintendent would have been found in year one, not year four. "In the four years since Rosa Perez took over the cash-strapped district, her salary has jumped 48 percent to $293,000 a year, with a $147,000 bonus to boot. She also has charged the district and it foundation for lavish perks that included overnight stays at San Jose's four-star Fairmont Hotel, a tour of El Salvador, and airfare to Scotland. Perez' partner Bayinaah Jones, a district administrator hired two months after Perez, has seen her salary climb 35 percent to her current salary of $122,688."

Trips, hiring of her life partner, gave herself a bonus--this is corruption. Why hasn't this educator been arrested for embezzlement and theft? Note that no where in the article does it say that she was forced to give back the stolen money.

Now you know why government schools have more than enough money.
