  • Has the SEIU Gone Soft or Realistic?

Wow, this is a man bite dog story

The openly corrupt SEIU, at least the one helping to control the LAUSD, has shown some common sense. "About 20,000 Los Angeles school district workers have agreed to four unpaid furlough days to help close a large budget gap, officials announced Monday.

Two units of Service Employees International Union Local 99 representing cafeteria workers, bus drivers and other employees approved the measure last week by a combined vote of 953 to 234, said Blanca Gallegos, a union spokeswoman.

The members will take one furlough day per month from February through May. The move will save about $7.7 million, according to union officials."

This is a nice start. Now, these workers could get a pay raise instead--all they have to do is get rid of the union that put them in this spot and save the bribe, ur dues, money

Be assured that money to the corrupt LAUSD will be less next year. Of course in the last few years LAUSD has LOST 67,000 students, but very few employees. Could this be the reason of its BILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT? That is the real number. So, the SEIU has agreed to a cut of $7.7 million--a very minor start.
