The proposed $22 billion water bond is a disgrace to corruption. The fraud in this boondoggle is so transparent even Stevie Wonder can see it.
The $22 billion includes principal and interest. Starting in 2015 it gets paid off at the rate of $700 million per year--money the State does not have.
Not a single drop of NEW water is guaranteed, we will still have a massive lack of water.
The bond includes money for "animal corridors"--$20 million of Ventura County along--nothing to do with water at all.
The wording of the bond could create a Peripheral Canal, which if built, will cause the loss of one million acres of prime farm land.
No water. Big bucks. More pork than on an Easter Sunday.
Now you know why government has caused the Great California Depression, and continues to dig.
