  • "Public-Option" Might Not Happen in California--No Doctors Would Participate

This is a long an somewhat boring article. BUT, two lines are VERY important.

"One major reason the CBO projected that a public option wouldn't be popular is because premiums actually could be higher than those offered by private sector insurers. That's because it would attract a less healthy group of customers drawn to the security of government-backed insurance, the report said, so overall health care costs would be higher."

The government program would force the Feds to give higher subsidies for the public option--that means a higher deficit.

"And if medical providers deem the payments offered too low, they can refuse to do business with the public plan, thus limiting the network of doctors and hospitals available to its enrollees."

Every doctor knows the government steals from them. In this proposal they can just say NO at the start. If there are no doctors for the government plan, then the Feds will have to "draft" the doctors.

A few days of no doctors, they strike, and the Plan collapses. Maybe that is the best way to kill the plan that will kill the people (no mammograms are just a start).

Maybe letting the plan collapse would assist in DENYING health benefits to ILLEGALS!
