Jobs will be created. Tax Revenues will be created. Energy will be created. The location is miles from where people live, work or tour. The solar panels are being built in the middle of no where.
But a GOP Member of the San Bernardino Board of Supervisors is opposed. He does not like the idea that residents of Nevada will get jobs. He is opposed to San Fran getting the energy.
OK, but why is he opposed to a plan that does create jobs for Americans and energy for Americans? "A solar energy project proposed for development on public land in the Mojave Desert would create jobs mostly for Las Vegas and electricity for San Francisco at the expense of the relatively pristine area of east San Bernardino County where it would be built, San Bernardino County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt said."
Sounds to me like he is trying to make nice with the Luddites. He does not get it. No matter what he says or does, no matter how many jobs he kills, the Luddites will not like him.
The good news is that people using common sense will push this forward over his political objections.
