  • Budget cuts could close 180 Courtrooms in Los Angeles

Court rooms that are only operating a few hours a day might be closed permanently. "Budget" cuts are the reason.

But, at the same time 40,000 criminals are about to be released from prison. The number of cases will go down due to a lack of prosecution. Probation will be stopped for thousands.

Bottom line: The "Justice" system is being cut at all levels. That does not mean the criminals will cut back. Government has decided to give up on the protection of its citizens. Instead corruption and incompetence of government endangers all of us. How many PR people (spokesmen) does government have? How many delays of trials before a settlement is made or a plea bargain done?

Government is too large and has too much money--and those running it, like the courts, have no incentive to be efficient.
