In 1967--42 years ago, San Diego County decided to expand a road. For 42 years the county did nothing, nothing. Now a developer wants to build homes, but is unable to get the owner of the land needed for the road to sell. So, like any other greedy person--you have government steal it for you. In Connecticut, this happened, homes were stolen, torn down--and now the greedy corporation has decided to abandon the property, which has been a slum and invites crime.
"If the developer can't buy the land to widen Deer Springs Road as part of his proposed 2,700-home Merriam Mountains development north of Escondido, the county may use eminent domain to acquire the land from property owners, county official said this week."
After no action for 42 years, this potential action is theft, pure and simple. Government is going to help a greedy corporation at the expense of freedom and the Constitution.
Should San Diego steal this land, no property in that county is self. Those involved need to be Recalled from office, in the real world they would go to jail.
