LAUSD Harms English Learning

LAUSD is so incompetent that English learners do better when they LEAVE the English learning program. "Researchers tracked the data on 28,700 students from the time they started sixth grade in 1999 until graduation in 2005. They found that students who were moved to mainstream classes by the time they were in eighth grade were more likely than students who remained in English language classes to stay in school, take advanced placement courses in high school and pass the high school exit exam."

Here is a better idea--after three years, you are out of the program--that will help more kids learn English--why wait eight years? Oh, because the district gets extra money by stealing an education from these children.

Time to close LAUSD and sell it off to the Charter Schools. Do we want education or unionization? These kids need to thank the unions for their inability to read or speak English.

ENGLISH should be made OFFICIAL AT ONCE ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE in the country and ONLY English should be the PRIMARY INSTRUCTIVE language in AMERICAN schools! As for the ILLEGALS, RETURN to SENDERS!
