The hypocrites who run Levi Strauss and Company quit the US Chamber of Commerce. Why? Because the Chamber wants real science not junk science to control environmental policy. Strauss believes the Planet is being killed by greedy corporations polluting the planet and government protecting them.
If true, and they were sincere, they would apologize to the six billion people on earth and close the business. Then they would close the business and pay for the health care of those they have harmed. This, even if Strauss goes bankrupt along with all of its executives--they deserve for the killing of the planet.
How? "According to the company’s own analysis, a typical pair of the company’s jeans is responsible for about:
* 70 pounds of CO2 emissions;
* 750 gallons of water use; and
* 111 kilowatt-hours of electricity use."
That just for a single pair of jeans--and they sell 150 million jeans every years--truly a Planet killer.
Maybe going naked would be the right answer?
