The State of California is killing the economy of jobs in the State of California.
"For example, the $2.05 billion taken by the state would have created 198,000 full- and part-time jobs statewide in construction and related activities, according to researchers at California State University Chico. Redevelopment investments could be providing much-needed economic stimulus, which, in turn, generates sales and income tax revenues that go directly to state and local treasuries to help fund vital services such as schools, health care for children and local police and fire services. Instead, the state's action serves to further slow the economy at a time when unemployment is in the double digits."
It looks like the State government prefers a Depression to job growth. Time for a real voter revolt.
