The Governor was able to provide a good Workers Comp system and still role back the costs. Enough so, that the cost is not a major issue. But, it should be noted that the cost for Worker Comp in Nevada is 30% LESS than California. This is just one reason why business is moving to Nevada.
Now the Democrats are looking to raise the cost of Workers Comp, hence cause the firing of employees to pay for their increases. "But undermining a key cost-saving provision of the 2004 reforms is madness with the state's economy sagging and businesses shedding jobs. Workers' comp costs have dropped by about 65 percent since 2004, trimming nearly $15 billion a year from the system. Before 2004, the process for determining awards to disabled workers was highly subjective and wildly variable."
Glad to see the Democrats still hate the poor and middle class--they really hate jobs and families and this is another example.
