The Peralta Community College District is header by the openly ethically challenged Elihu Harris, a former Democrat Assemblyman. He has refused to turn over his expense records, and when opened, found him to be VERY generous with himself--the best of restaurants, hotels and travel--at the expense of students.n he supported for president, Barack Obama, Harris does not believe the public has a right to see public documents or how tax dollars are spent.
Now, newspapers have to sue to get a look at the documents. Obviously, the secret documents show incompetence or corruption. Either way, this sleeze needs to go--either to find a job or to jail.
"Among the records is a report by Peralta inspector general Gail Waiters on Chancellor Elihu Harris' ties to developer Mark Lindquist, his close friend and business partner whose firm the district awarded a $940,000 no-bid contract to oversee construction at Oakland's Laney College."
Looks like corruption is the problem. Of course, this qualifies Elihu Harris for a job in the White House.
