The Governor and the legislature tried to pass phony budgets, with illegal cuts, just to borrow more money. They got their way.
Now, the 2010-11 budget, already $8-10 billion in deficit, has close to $10 billion deficits added due to illegal cuts, that they knew were illegal.
This is outrageous. We need adults who act honestly with our money--not try gimmicks that will hurt all of us.
We do not know how much this court decision will add to the deficit, but it will be in the tens of millions of dollars.
Wonder how many illegal budget cuts they will make in the next budget--just to borrow more money and put California further in debt?
