The environmentalists in the Bay Area who supported the boondoggle called the High Speed Rail ($200 billion to build and not a dime to operate--which due to Federal law can not charge more than 20% of the cost--the rest is tax dollars meant for health care and education will go to unions..
In the Bay Area the folks are suing to stop the choo choo train from dividing communities. In San Diego money meant for the coastal trains--which are used--has been stopped and "given" to the boondoggle (a tax increase or bond will be used to fix and upgrade the coastal train).
Now the environmentalists, who supported the boondoggle in the Los Angeles area are upset this will hurt the LA River.
Didn't they think before they voted for this economic and environmental disaster?
This is just the start of buyers remorse. We are in trouble, and we can't blame Sacramento for this mess--we did it to ourselves.
