John Garamendi loves power. He has run for Congress, Assembly, State Senate, Lt. Governor, Insurance Commissioner, Governor, Senator and ran many times for these offices. Let the Secretary of State declare an election and he will run!
Today, the man who allowed corruption in the State Compensation Fund, for years, is the Lt. Governor. But, the power to kill revenues and jobs in California is not enough for him--he voted to stop oil drilling, so the cost of gas is higher, thousands of jobs were killed and revenues to Santa Barbara County, in the billions over a period of years, was stopped.
Now he wants to do the bidding of Barack Obama--his campaign for Congress includes demands for higher taxes, more government and more Federal control over the States.
Garamendi is not a careful person. He denounced David Harmer, his GOP opponent for supporting coastal oil drilling. Minor detail, the David Harmer he quoted is an official of the State of Utah, not the David Harmer running for Congress. Another example of a career politician saying anything he pleases to get into office, true or not. Click on "read more" to see complete story.
Then you have GOP'er David Harmer, a truth teller and someone wanting to help his community, not his ego. What does Harmer stand for?
The Harmer Pledge 1. Grow the economy -- not the government.
2. Balance the budget by controlling spending -- not by raising taxes.
3. Help small businesses grow, and become the engine of economic recovery.
Simple, but the opposite of the "pledge to raise taxes, make government bigger and to raise the deficit by TRILLIONS, promised by the career politician John Garamendi.
