The LA Times really loves illegal aliens. About every two weeks they have a sob story about how tough it is for illegals to sneak into this country, steal ID's, get a job and live the good life.
This story is about a teenager abused by her mother--and it is the "fault" of our immigration laws. The mother illegally came into this nation and took her daughter. The daughter was in a fight and law enforcement figures out she is illegal--and is about to deport her. The bigger question is why isn't the mother being deported as well.
How about a story about a single AMERICAN mother finding it hard to get a job, because of illegal aliens? Or a story about crowded classrooms, because of illegal aliens? Maybe a story about the lack of a good government education because billions are being spent on special education programs, translators and classes to teach English, to the illegal aliens?
"The sheriff's decision to sign up for the federal program earned him respect from longtime residents but created a sense of fear among immigrants." I have no problem with criminals being in fear of getting caught, do you?
That would not be a sob story, it would be the truth, due to illegal aliens stealing from Americans.
