Last week President Obama invited 150 doctors and nurses to the White House to promote the government takeover of health care. Fox News noted that at least 100 of them donated to the Obama for President campaign. These were not doctors off the street, these were doctors who believe they should work for the government. In fact, according to Fox News almost all of them work for an HMO--in others words, they do not have to worry about meeting a payroll, paying for the increasing insurance costs, paying for employees or equipment--they go to work, do their job and go home. Yes, they care about their patients, they just don't think about who is paying or how much it will cost. They do not care if medicine is rationed by politicians or ended for the elderly or the young--they just trust government..
Dr. Joel Strom is a leader in health care in California, and yes, a close friend. He alerted me to the fact that lots of good doctors, who care about their patients and the right of patients to have a choice, other than government.
This is a growing movement of doctors for patients--not government. Pass this on, let your friends and families know that the doctors supporting government health care plan are really folks supporting socialized medical promoted by President Obama.
If you do not want long lines, high taxes and low services, you need to fight this. Thanks to Dr. Strom for his involvement in this effort to protect your family.
