Democrats do not want to allow any more drilling for oil in California (they also stop wind mills, solar systems in the desert, nuclear energy and any other form of energy).
But, they do want to raise up to $10 billion on the current California drilling--making the cost of energy much more expensive, hence killing both the oil industry and the poor and middle class in California.
The very people who trust the Democrats, the poor, are the first victims of the Democrat policy of theft.
The good news is that any Democrat promoting this, coming from a 30% GOP district or more, becomes vulnerable. When the GOP makes the case that Democrats are killing families and jobs, then ,maybe we can turn the State away from the Third World model preferred by Liberals.
