The Governor and legislature KNEW their actions in cutting certain items from the budget were illegal. They knew it.
They were pushing the can down the road, as the saying goes. This article shows $4.7 billion ADDED to our deficit if closer to $10 billion higher thanks to these illegal actions. That does not count the phony revenue numbers, the billions of asset sales that will NEVER happen. If a student in a finance class created a budget like this they would be lucky to only get an "F".
California is in trouble because of the dishonest budgets provided by those we elect. Watch this space for further losing lawsuits.
