The UC system has hundreds of administrators doing almost nothing. It has hundreds of EXPERTS on the faculty dealing with education, economics and business. The Administrators are paid to watch the cost of the system and to make cuts in times like this.
Yet, the Board of Regents allowed a $3 million contract for consultants from Boston to look at our books and suggest cuts.
Now you know why government and education has too much money. We already pay for people who can do this. The students need to understand the reason tuition is going up is because the "adults" are incompetent.
Here is a better idea--if the UC folks really think they really need the $3 million consultants then they should reduce the payroll by $3 million to pay for it--obviously those folks are not needed.
