Fraud and corruption in government education circles? I am shocked!!
"Chavez's contract began on July 1, 2007, but trustees didn't approve it until after the fact, at their August 2007 meeting, according to board minutes. There was no discussion, no bidding process, and no other candidates considered for the job. Chavez asked for a fee of $11,285 a month and was paid, off and on, until July 31, 2008. Under state law, professional services are exempt from the competitive bid process."
Today, thanks to her, this is the financial situation for this education foundation, "The school district paid Chavez a total of $79,000 in consulting fees, plus an additional $5,572 to its law firm to establish the foundation's non-profit status.
But two years later, the foundation has no Web site, few board members and just $4,470 in its bank account."
In other words leftists and Democrats ripped off minority students, is this racism? using the Obama/Carter definition--absolutely.
