  • NRSC Opposing Conservatives for U.S. Senate Seats?

The National Republican Senatorial Committee is supposed to create a foundation for the Republican nominee for the US Senate in each State to use as a springboard to victory in the November General Election.

Instead, in State after State, Senator John Cornyn, of Texas, the current chair of the NRSC, has been promoting the moderate candidate in the race against the conservative candidate.

In Florida, He has been supporting the tax increasing Governor Charlie Crist over, the conservative Speaker of the State House, Marco Rubio. In fact, Rubio, with almost no money is catching up, due to support from the grass roots. See here, here, here and here. In California he has all but endorsed Carly Fiorina against the conservative Assemblyman Chuck DeVore (who I am supporting). Yet the media has exposed a very controversial business background. The Neil Stevens piece below is just a tidbit of what Senator Boxer will use against Fiorina in a very nasty campaign. The good news is that we know about it now and do not have to make a mistake. Remember how Boxer in her first race used a one time visit to an "upscale" strip club in Los Angeles to kill Bruce Hershensohn...imagine how this will be used. I look forward to Ms. Fiorina responding to these problems.

It is time for the NRSC to do its job and stop being a campaign committee for the moderate wing of the Party.
