There are few times I agree with environmentalists. But, thanks to them, we are holding back on spending $200 billion (principle plus interest) to build a high speed choo choo train. Actually, it is not needed, instead, it is a payoff to the unions and construction firms for their support of bond measures and politicos.
Anything, legally, that can be done to stop this massive waste of money is good.
The worse part, once finished, there is not a dime available to operate this union controlled choo choo. Look at how the unions twist BART and its riders--then you will see how this train will be operated.
