Can you trust those that run your pension and finally announce that the system is in trouble? Every citizen interested in government has known this for years. The system, months ago was $181 billion in unfunded liabilities. It is higher now. The new "contributions" from its members will push cities and counties into bankruptcy--but the CalPers officials NOW admit there is a problem?
Are they liars or just plan stupid? Either way, they need to go. No excuses, they need to be fired--for incompetence.
This will take either bankruptcies or unions acting responsibly to fix--don't count on the unions to do what is right by the citizens of California, or their own members.
Time for the people of California to fix this.
