Government action always has an affect on the citizens. The Williamson Act was to protect the farms and green belts by having the State pay "taxes" so the farms are not developed.
Now that the Governor has vetoed that money, counties are looking to raise property taxes.
The good news is that land will then be used for its highest value, not the government special interest policies. This will help create jobs, value and maybe some affordable housing--without the Williamson Act private property will be developed, not held in government storage.
