The Cars for Clunkers is a great idea. The premise is easy. You steal tax money from the poor and middle class to make sure the rich get a savings on new cars. Then, if there is not enough tax dollars (So far in six months the Obama deficit is $1.3 trillion--truly a record--especially since the man never created a job, product or service in his life--he is living through you and spending your money like an old time Chicago politician) you create money, which then creates inflation, cause the price of everything to go up and the value of your paycheck to go down.
How about some money for the mouthpiece of the Obama socialist movement, General Electric? GE owns NBC and partially owns MSNBC, the networks calling those who oppose Obama stealing tax dollars and trying to kill the unborn and those too old, a " Mob". That is right--GE is protecting the corruption, bigotry and totalitarian attitudes of Barack Obama--and they deserve payment. Here is a good deal--how about Cash for Refrigerators, old aircraft engines, water systems and anything else GE can not sell. BO can use stimulus money to "save" this important company.
BO has put the RV industry out of business, goes back to Elkhart, Indiana and blames everyone and everything for the 17% unemployment--but forgets to mention his policies as the prime cause. Maybe using the RV's as affordable housing--for that is all Americans will be able to afford, would make him sleep better at night.
BO is a bright man, he went to Harvard Law. Guess he never took an economics class--of course, if you are going to be a community organizer for ACORN and other radical organizations, facts mean nothing. "On the other hand, this is crackpot economics. The subsidy wont add to net national wealth, since it merely transfers money to one taxpayers pocket from someone elses, and merely pays that taxpayer to destroy a perfectly serviceable asset in return for something he might have bought anyway. By this logic, everyone should burn the sofa and dining room set and refurnish the homestead every couple of years."
In a year or so, when inflation is worse than the $3 trillion deficit caused by Obama, you will wonder how did this happen. It happened because Obama had a clunker of an idea.
Remember the old saw, if it is too good to be true, it is not true--Cash for Clunkers is the answer.
