Click on "read more", then click on "Check out the feature". Look for the stimulus money going to your county, project by project, dollar for dollar. We were told that this was to create jobs--though they were careful not to say "permanent jobs". That is why so much go to short term programs--some as short as a day, to claim a job was created.
But the worst part was the amount of money being spent on "Pell Grants", scholarship money for students. While this may or may not be a good program--not a dime of this money creates a job. I checked for my home county, Ventura, and was shocked at the bus stops being paid for, buses that will have no riders, in all an effort to make sure unions and youth, core votes for the Democrat Party are taken care of. How many people did not get a job due to the money given for Pell Grants? Pass this along--let the "Astro-Turf" crowd understand why Democrats are reluctant to talk about anything at their Town Hall meetings. Corruption has many faces, the Obama Stimulus package is one of the ugliest (and I did not mention the pornography the Stimulus package is paying for)
Personal note: Some have wondered why I have not been sending out these articles on my normal schedule. Not only do I have laryngitis, but I also have pneumonia. Thanks to some very powerful pills, and me following the doctors orders exactly, I will have my voice back by Tuesday or Wednesday and end the pneumonia by Wednesday as well.
