Remember Jon Lovitz on Saturday Night Live? He was the one who would tell stories, give facts, then when challenged, admit what he said was a lie.
Well, it looks like Barack Obama is the Jon Lovitz of Washington. He claimed if we paid close to a trillion dollars, we could keep unemployment under 8%--it is now closing in on 10%. He told us he wanted to be the president of all the people--then called a cop stupid, for doing his job and arresting an out of control Harvard professor.
Now we know he lied when he tells the American people that the construction part of the Stimulus package created 50,000 jobs--it only created 9920, and that is 43 hours of work--not really full time. "Besides failing to distinguish between part-time and full-time jobs, head counts are subject to another error: Construction workers often rotate among projects, which can lead to double- or triple-counting when project totals are added together. State workers who oversee multiple projects also can be counted more than once."
Oh, where did the House Democrats get the numbers? From the Administration.
Now the man who lied about the Stimulus Package, the man who called a cop stupid, the man who had to back off of closing Gitmo ("a solemn promise), is going to run your health care? This is a matter of life or death--neither Jon Lovitz or the Lovitz wannabe, Barack Obama, can be trusted with your life.
