The LA Times is a self proclaimed "best friend of the LAUSD teachers union." Still they want the union to back off of one policy--the union opposes more charter schools. "When even your best friends aren't on your side, it's time to pay attention. Teachers unions in California would be wise to listen as new challenges to their most cherished doctrines come from the very politicians they have counted on as allies."
Too bad the Times does not look at the other union policies that create a district with a 60% drop out rate, billions wasted and teachers, who should be role models for children, acting like thugs and bullies, closing down school board meetings because they do not like the results. Bullies and thugs do not belong in education--in LAUSD, they are education.
Shame on us for allowing these people to control the future of our children.
