Looks like our courts will officially by closed one day a month--who cares? This might cause more civil suits being settled in mediation or private court services.
Maybe if the courts went totally computer, allowing everything to be filed via the Internet, instead of using clerks, we could save time, money and errors.
How about court dates meaning something. I just saw a political trial in Orange County being moved from this week to the second week in January. If the case can not be made, it should be dropped. If it can be made, go to trial--no more continuances--unless their is a death of the trial judge or or one of the attorneys involved.
Courts need to run as if this is 2009, not as if it is 1950.--oh, and how about starting at 9:00am and going through 5:00pm?
