At the same time the state is about to release 27,000 prisoners--after already have given approximately 16,000 prisoners and almost all of the inmates of the juvenile prisons early release--the State budget will cause local jails to be closed and fewer law enforcement agents to protect us.
The good news is that sales tax revenues will have a little bump as more people buy guns and ammunition to protect them.
Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca said, "I think it is one thing to have a natural disaster ... but it is another thing to have local cities and counties hit by a disaster predicated on the irresponsible actions of the state legislators, Baca said. This budget could destabilize our cities and counties with a rise in crime.
A bit over the top, but has government made you feel safer?
Isn't it time to end the special interest and union control of government. End PLA's, mandated membership, prevailing wage and other payoffs, and we have a chance to balance the budget. Repeal AB 32 and you have a chance to keep jobs in the State.
Government policies have caused the mess we are in. We need to stop hitting ourselves with a hammer. Time to hold a BIG voter revolt? Are you in?
