Does the new budget give early release to 27,000 prisoners, YES.
But that number is not in the budget bill. Instead you have to understand how government uses language.
"Corrections Secretary Matthew Cate joined a conference call with reporters and said reports that the budget deal will lead to the early release of 27,000 inmates is inaccurate.
Instead, he said, the budget calls for reducing the prison population through policy changes."
So, they will change policies UNTIL the 27,000 mark is met.
What a bunch of liars--they are so transparent that by doing this they might have killed the budget deal. Why? Because if they are lying about this, what else are they lying about in the budget?
