  • Unions Slow Down Quality Schools in Los Angeles, Again

Once again, the unions have put their monopoly hold on education ahead of the interests of students.

LAUSD was about to allow parents to determine if unions or teachers would continue newly built schools. The unions know that they would lose every vote--showing that parents, when given a choice, will say no to forcing teachers to pay bribes to teach.

The motion to allow this has been postponed for another month. As the district with a 60% drop out rate, a billion dollar deficit, and corruption rife in the system, fights to stay open, the unions are fighting to keep control.

Make the unions voluntary and the kids win. Leave the failed system as it is, and LAUSD stays a corrupt, incompetent system run by and for the unions.
